hurricane katrina

I am not sure if any of you kept up with this kind of thing, but I figured I would just let everyone know that I (Alanna) am safe at home in Memphis... I am supposed to be going to college at Loyola in New Orleans right now, but because of the hurricane, I'm back home and will probably be going to Christian Brothers for the semester. I'm sure you guys have all been keeping up with the news and have seen how horrible everything is down there, and how much the government is screwing everything up. The stories I've heard from friends in the area are even worse than what you see on TV, which is not always the case. At any rate, we urge you to volunteer your time at places like the Red Cross or donate clothes and food to victims. There are a lot of refugees in Memphis that need your help.
