vowie vow vow...
Hello Friends,
Happy fourth of July. As I take a break from cleaning the house, I would like to say hello to all of our loyal fans. Oh hello loyal fans.
We had a good time at the show on Friday. Thanks for coming!!!!! I hope that everyone who came enjoyed it. Brock and Alanna made their debut as the coolest screaming duo ever during the SV cover of "Hamster Baby" by Bikini Kill. Actually, it is hardly their debut, because they have been screaming together for the past four years. I think that we should try converting some of their old acapella repretoire (ie "Dictator of the World") into songs with instruments. We will also need Allison for that. She was the dictator, after all.
Thanks to the brillant manager of the year, Alanna R. Stewart, we now have a webpage. I hope that the humiliating pictures of us on this website might provide a laugh for at least one person. Alanna's captions are ever so clever, if I do say so myself. Also, you should check out the links, because they are quite humorous as well.
Alice and I recently returned from Germany, where we were on tour with the Memphis Youth Symphony. We had a great deal of fun. Classical music is everywhere in Germany--it's insane. We were walking through the town where Bach lived, and there was a cafe called Johann S. Although the music is old, it is still a huge part of modern life over there. Despite all the great classical music, there also appears to be an unhealthy saturation of techno music. Alice and I wanted to dance the nacht away at a discotek, but due to certain circumstances (like curfews) we were unable to do so. However, the trials and tribulations during our search for a discotek led us to have a fixation on techno, and hence a new song was born. Lauren, who recently bought a new computer, can hopefully use her Garage Band obsession to help us out. Hopefully, everyone is ready for eine kleine nacht musik.
p.s. we hope to record our songs soon once we find somewhere to record cheaply/freely.
